It's that time of year, when the stockings are hung, the lights are strung and it's time to bundle up.
We can't believe it's only two weeks away from December 25th.
This year each family member will receive 3 gifts from each other; 1 made, 1 re-purposed and 1 purchased.
It's pretty fun to make something personal for each person. But at the same time it's been kind of hard to figure out something that not only they would like, but also something that person would use. And to me, it seems if you work hard on something to give to someone, it's an act of love and appreciation.
The house is looking pretty cheery :)
I love it when you walk through the house and it makes you happy.
But Christmas isn't just about the decorations and presents. In the name alone it says CHRIST, Jesus CHRIST. I also looked up MAS, and it generally means 'celebration'. Christmas-Celebrating the birth of Christ, Jesus Christ.
Our family has a casual dinner on Christmas Eve (finger food and snacks), then on Christmas day, we have a *fancy* dinner, play games, spend time together.
It's lots of fun, and I love hanging out with family.
My other favorite part of Christmas is the wonderful music!
And I love playing Christmas songs on the piano :)
A few days after we got the tree up and decorated, the Martha Stewart magazine came to our house, and there was our tree!! There's probably a million of the same type of trees, but still, this is weird.
till next time... Merry Christmas!
