Make it Monday | Valentine Scratch Cards

Property of Isabelle Krake

Make it Monday is here once again!
And we have a little Valentine treat for you today! :)
And, this Make it Monday also comes with a free printable
:-D I say yay to that!

I have made scratch cards before, but I stumbled along this way a few weeks ago and it is much more efficient and cute-er ;)

But first things, first...

Materials you will need:
  • Colored or patterned construction paper
  • A glue stick
  • Acrylic paint {sliver works best}
  • A white crayon
  • And our free printable

Here's our free printable! Just drag it to your desktop or download it... and print!

Step 1:

If you want to have a cute + colorful border around the edges, make sure to cut the white designed pieces of paper about a forth of an inch smaller that the colored construction paper.
Now with your cut and measured papers, glue the white designed paper on to the colorful construction paper.

Step 2:

Once all of your pieces of paper are glued together, evenly cover each heart with a moderately-thick layer of the crayon.
Make sure that it's completely covered.

Step 3:

Now paint over each heart with the silver acrylic paint. I have experimented with other colors of acrylic paint and sliver seems to work best. Let it dry. Repeat this twice, they will need about 3 coats in oder for nothing to be visible through the paint.

Once they have dried, they are ready! All that's left to do is... scratch! Scratch! Scratch!

Thank you so much for coming by!
