What's Cooking Wednesday: Simple+Delicious Hot Cocoa

Property of Isabelle Krake

It's What's Cooking Wednesday, and we have made simple+delicious+homemade hot cocoa :D.

I have been drinking and making this for the past week it's so good! Since it is the season for it ;).

For this delicious Hot Cocoa,
You will need:
* 2-3 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
* 1 1/2 cups milk {this can be swapped out with soy or almond milk}
* 1/4 cup Sugar
* 1/4 cup Water

Step 1:
In a small sauce pan, pour the water and sugar in and with a whisk stir on medium-high.
In a small pot with a lid, pour the milk in, put the lid on and turn the stove burner to low. Make sure to always keep an eye on the milk, don't let it foam over.

Step 2:
Once the sugar and water has reached a boil turn the burner down to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
Stir the water and sugar about every 3-5 minutes.

Step 3:
Once the milk has started to foam, turn the heat off {but keep the lid on}.
And once the water and sugar mixture has become the consistency of syrup, put 2-3 tablespoons of dark chocolate cocoa powder into the milk, whisk until any lumps of the cocoa have dissolved.

Step 4:
Once the sugar and water has become the consistency of slightly thinner corn syrup, turn the heat off and wait about 5 seconds before pouring it into the milk and cocoa mixture.

Now stir it all together and pour into your favorite mug ;).

Have a splendid day!
Thanks for coming by!
